this was a 3 minute part of a 40 minute practice I held with my friend James the other night, just recording it in detail here, sorry if it sounds woo-woo.
We found an amazing amount of energy from the heart up, centering around my head. Every time he touched my face or my skull, I would feel that my experience was shifting down like a rush of tingling to where my head rested on the mat, backwards. This felt like sedation or like the spins when you're drunk. Up around my eyes, in the sunken parts and the points about my eyebrows, he noted that kernels of tension were present but they were, like, pregnant with sorrow. Felt like they needed to be burst and maybe they'd release? (Basically just the feeling before you cry i think lol)
BUT WAIT
He mentally noted and told me later on that he felt, on my left side, right behind my eyebrow on the side of my face "a red mass of gunk that needed to be pulled".
At the same time, I felt overwhelming passion and emotion in that same point of pressure, and visualized a red streak of fire, blazing in a second shooting through to my right side through the dark space in my head!!!
Then it went a little white and I heard him say "hm" and it was pulled out by his finger and my eyes just started leaking... so many tears silently just gushing out of me. I felt him cure the area as he breathed out of his nostrils and cried with me.
Later, this "red" theme was attributed to Rajas, of the three Gunas. I started to think more seriously about the Kleshas, especially Raga. Had weird dreams about running through slats in a wooden sectioned octagon. Felt sleepy the day after, and like my left side was more "alive".
Other notes taken in practice were:
1. My right side is generally sluggish, weighted, static, "dead". Have a hard time connecting to it.
2. My root chakra is unbalanced, vulnerable, but has been for a long time
3. My legs are very connected to root (lol)
4. Sacral = deep, dark, grieving
5. Solar Plexus = shifting, sorting, general chaos
6. Heart = very strong, clear, vibrant
